I just bought a Skil drill/impact drivers set and it has a lot of features that Ridgid should adopt. The impact driver has a ring light that has a button that turns it on for 10 minutes. The newest batteries have a USB C port that will power devices or charge the battery. The charger has high/low settings 3A/6A.
If you're budget-constrained but want to invest in the M12 platform, start here. The non-FUEL version is genuinely capable for home use, and you can always add FUEL tools to your battery collection later.
