Dyson V15 Detect
$659What holds up
- Laser debris detection reveals hidden dust on hard floors
- Averaged 80%+ pickup in CNET's rigorous sand pickup tests, one of only three vacuums to do so
- Strong performance on both hardwood and carpet
- Widely praised by Reddit users for quick spot cleaning and daily use
What to know
- Premium price puts it out of reach for budget shoppers
- Dyson's bin capacity is smaller than some competitors like the Outsize
- Battery life can be limiting on max suction mode
I've owned many mid to high end brand of vacuums from Hoover, shark, rainbow etc and the Dyson V15 made me enjoy cleaning again, the laser really does detect any dirt or hair that is hanging around …..my only issue is for the price the battery should last way longer
I was a huge Dyson fan. I got the corded ones before where you drag around the canister, 6 years ago. Forget what it's called. Loved it. Super suctioning, easy to clean, did a great job. Got the V15 (luckily for free with points) and boy am I glad I didn't buy it at $800+. Definitely quality sucks, I mean it sucks and cleans well just the build like you're saying.
If you own pets, vacuum multiple floor types, and want a cordless machine that genuinely identifies and reacts to debris in real time, the V15 Detect delivers on its core promise, but buy it on sale or with rewards points, because its plastic build and battery runtime do not justify full retail price.
